	William Henry Rice (1859-1930) married three different times: first Laura Catherine "Katie" Pittman, then Sarah Elizabeth LaPrade, then Dolous Bellah. Among his three wives, he fathered 12 children, three of whom died in infancy.

John Rice, Sr.

John Rice, Sr. was the earliest of our ancestors about whom we have any direct or reliable knowledge. He was the great-grandfather of William Rice. About all we know about him is that he was probably a farmer, had a whole passel of children, and died in Tennessee in 1811.
